FOUNDER

Amy’s Story

With over two decades of experience in Interior Design and textiles, Amy Walker built her career around material, careful construction, and the technical side of how things are made, how they’re cut, sewn, structured, and built to last. Her connection to sewing started much earlier. Growing up, she learned to sew alongside her mother, developing a hands-on appreciation for detail. More than 20 years ago, she hand-crafted all of the window treatments in her own home and realized she wanted to grow that joy and passion.

This was the beginning of what would eventually become AW Workroom. After years of building relationships with high quality producers, curating and creating original textiles, Amy wanted a space to design and build her way — with care, precision and complete control over quality and luxury design. AW Workroom is a Los Angeles–based custom window treatments and soft goods studio — a dedicated space focused on thoughtful construction, craftsmanship, and beautifully made pieces. From fabric sourcing to final installation, each project is handled start to finish with attention to detail and respect for the material. Every window treatment is made to order, here in Los Angeles cut and sewn in-house by a team of expert seamstresses.

Who We Work With

AW Workroom partners closely with interior designers, builders, and project teams to create window treatments and soft goods that are intentional, functional, and beautifully made.
